Iceland's Half-Term Heroes: Extra help this May half-term for parents struggling to keep the kids fed and entertained while away from school
Frozen food retailer, Iceland, has recognised the challenges faced by parents during school holidays, particularly when it comes to the cost of providing meals for their children. Recent research conducted by Censuswide on behalf of Iceland highlighted that more than 56% of parents express concerns about the expenses associated with feeding their kids during school breaks. In response, Iceland has launched its Half Term Heroes initiative, offering a range of solutions to help alleviate the financial burden and ensure children are well-nourished during the break.
Around 57% of parents also worry about the cost of having their kids at home, with 53% worrying about their children getting their five a day.
Two-thirds (66%) are also concerned about the cost of paying for fun activities during the break, according to the study, which was conducted between 22.05.23 and 24.05.23 consisting of 2,000 people, including 429 parents.
