Here's how to eat for more or less free for a week!
So we all love a bargain don't we and with the cost of living crisis still in full flow, I know I'm always looking for ways to save money, and with food costs being one of my family's largest expenses, saving money on grocery shopping is always something I'm looking out for, and I suspect you may be the same, so I thought I would share a couple of deals I've come across recently that can definitely save you some money.
These deals are based on two food subscription box services; Hello Fresh & Green Chef.
Now ordinarily, these subscription services aren't something I recommend or get involved in, mainly because I think they are expensive, but I do appreciate that for many people, they represent good value due to everything a family may need to cook a meal is supplied, and it saves having to do a grocery shop, where you may have to buy larger quantities of food than what's supplied by the box service, which could end up costing you more initially, so appreciate they can have their advantages for some.
The offers I've found will certainly be a saving for anyone using them, so long as you don't currently use the services, as they are deals set up for new customers.
Deal One
The first deal is my favourite and is the Hello Fresh offer. This deal combines a new user discount and TopCashback cashback, but you have to be quick as it ends at Midnight on Sunday, 19th Feb 2023.
If you don't have TopCashback, sign-up here for free.
So TopCashback is offering £20 cashback on a Hello Fresh order of £14.25 or more. So you need to go to TopCashback and head to the deal and click through to HelloFresh. Sign up for a new account and select the 3 meals for 3 people option, making sure you use the promo code HFTCB60, which should cost you £15.60, with free delivery.
Once you've done this, you will be awarded £20 cashback from TopCashback, which will take a few weeks to come through, but overall means that you got 3 days of meals for 3 people for nothing and actually made £4.40 profit!
IMPORTANT: Make sure you now cancel any further boxes as soon as you've placed that first order, or you will get hit with £43 for the next box, as you must cancel within 5 days of your next box being delivered. Once you've cancelled, which is easily done via your Hello Fresh account, you won't receive any further boxes nor be charged anything else.
Deal Two
This deal is the Green Chef offer. This offer is a new referral offer where you can select 3 meals for 2 people (so 6 servings), and pay £0 for the food, but you will need to pay £4.99 for P&P.
To get this offer, you need to use this referral link and select the 3 meals for 2 people option and then sign up and checkout. This will get you free food. As per the Hello Fresh offer, make sure you cancel the service 5 days before your next box is due to ensure you don't get hit with any further charges!
The 2 offers combined mean you've pretty much got a week's worth of food for more or less free, well, just a couple of quid!
I've used both offers and can confirm they work, boxes were delivered, and further boxes were cancelled with no issues; plus, I have the £20 cashback pending, so it gets a Penny Pincher thumbs up!
